\n<\/strong><\/h5>\nPhD student, Biologie du D\u00e9veloppement de Marseille (IBDM),<\/span> Marseille<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\nThe shaping life meeting covered a wide range of developmental issues, which was particularly instructive.<\/p>\n
I found particularly interesting the last talk presented by Cassandra Extavour that establish a link between spatial heterogeneity of the division rate and nuclear density in the drosophila eggs. I also really appreciated the poster of Arthur Boutillon, who studies the migration a group of cells -called polster- ahead of the elongating prechordal plate during gastrulation. It suggests that the active migration of the polster is driven by mechanical forces arising from the posterior axial mesoderm, situated behind. Both of these talks rose innovative and elegant concepts about the highly studied mechanisms of division and migration.<\/p>\n
One great surprise was that, despite the virtual format, the poster session was very interactive.
