I really appreciated the talk from Andrea Pauli entitled « Small proteins with big roles – From cell migration to species-specific fertilization ». I have always been fascinated by how life starts and the oocyte to embryo transition. I found her discovery about sperm-egg interaction very insightful, and this led me to get few ideas linking my project and hers. We had the occasion to then talk, and as I am looking for a post-doc this helped me a lot. We came up with very exciting new project that we might be able to do in the future.
→ Maëlle presented a short talk entitled: « Imaging translation dynamics in live embryos reveals spatial heterogeneities »
