Thanks to the SFBD I could attend to the Shaping Life 2 meeting.
Being a developmental biologist, this meeting was particularly interesting to me as it gave a general point of view of the developmental field by addressing different aspects such as early development processes, neuro-development and developmental defect. I was particularly amazed by the first speaker of the Keynote seminar who was in charge of the meeting opening. His talk on early development summarized the present state of gastrulation research and highlighted crucial developmental questions, which could or should be addressed from now on.
On a personal perspective, I was selected to present a poster, which gave me the chance to present my work to many scientists. Independently of the nice encounter, those scientific interactions were very interesting, important and useful. I’m sure that those encounter will have a positive impact on my work as a PhD student and will permit me to broaden my scientific network, which will be helpful during my postdoctoral research.
In conclusion, I like to Thank the SFBD for giving me the opportunity to attend to this meeting. It was really beneficial to me as it extends my knowledge in developmental biology and help me to grow as scientist.
