We are currently inviting applications from enthusiastic postdoctoral candidates to join our team to study the Environmental modulation of the Brain circuitry that times the Pubertal/Metamorphic Onset in Drosophila (see references below). The postdoc will be part of a young team within the stimulating and international environment of the University Nice-Sophia Antipolis, in the Institute Sophia Agrobiotech (ISA), as part of an exciting Drosophila community. The ISA provides state of the art core facilities, with a collaborative and lively atmosphere in a gorgeous city/region. The positions will be funded for 1 year through the Labex SIGNALIFE (Université cote d’azur) and would preferably start in November 2020 (before the end of 2020).
Requirements: Motivation, perseverance, rigor, creativity, and curiosity. We seek highly motivated candidates with interests in developmental biology, neuroscience, behavior, physiology, and genetics to join our group. Candidates having good working knowledge in the Drosophila model, in vivo and fixes imaging microscopy (calcium/voltage sensors, antibodies staining), and imaging analyses, as well as in conducting behavioral experiments, will be highly considered (but not required). We strongly value team spirit and a positive work environment.
