Thanks to the SFBD I was able to attend the Shaping life 2 conference in 2021. The few days spent online for the conference were very fruitful and allowed for some inspiring exchanges with other scientists involved in developmental biology. Alfonso Martinez-Arias’ keynote during the opening of the meeting was one that particularly interested me for how well it summarized the current knowledge of early development in animal and highlighting the current major questionings on the matter.
I had the possibility to present my latest findings in a poster format and had some wonderful and very fruitful discussion on my approaches and following experiments planned. Such as what are the possible outcomes from the role of actin through the elongation of the zygote and ours observations on the use of Latrunculin B.
While the focus of the shaping life 2 conference was mainly set on development of animals, I believe that a lot of informations presented were of great interest for my PhD project.
